SEARCHING FOR FIREFLIES

An experiential workshop to journey to the heart of longing
24 - 25 November 2018 - CCPE

Do you often have the feeling that something is missing in your life? Have you ever experienced strong longings and desires, or have the feeling that you are always searching for something? What does your heart long for?

Through the metaphor of the ‘firefly’, symbolising passionate love in Japanese culture, we will explore the ephemeral things that we each search for, and journey inward to find the treasure hidden in our longing. The aim of the weekend will be to reclaim the qualities found in the depth of our longing based on the premise that the very external things we yearn for outside, mirror some of the inner pieces of our souls that we have forgotten.

Join me for a psychotherapeutic exploration of the theme of longing using creative imagination, body-work, movement, writing and meditation.

The workshop could also help participants

  • To reconnect to the disowned qualities or parts of the personality hidden in strong passions and desires.

  • To contain and give creative expression to the feeling of longing.

  • To integrate and embody these longed-for qualities in their lives.

The workshop is open to individuals receiving personal psychotherapy. You can reach me on info@salvolarosa.co.uk or 07954 626 411 to register your interest. I will then offer to call you for a telephone conversation to explore whether the workshop is right for you.

Feel free to get in touch if you would like to sign up for the next workshop.
